Unusually Hot, Morning Frost, and Persian Honey haven’t shown anything better than the low 70’s in terms of Beyer Speed Figures, and there are a couple here that can easily break 80. Pass.

Sayit – One aspect of GiftHorseRacing Speed Figures is that they become more accurate over time. Although more data is being gathered on 6/22 at Hollywood, we believe a good initial estimate is that the track was playing 5-6 lengths slow, which would actually put the 87 Beyer Speed Figure she received for her performance closer to a 94.

Sweetsinginganita – Since today’s contest is a sprint on the synthetic surface, it would be best to ignore the last two on turf and focus on the 1/11/08 race at Santa Anita Race Track. Our Speed Figures have determined the 81 she was assigned is about right, which isn’t quite enough. Despite the outstanding jockey Bejarano, pass.

Scout About – Like Sweetsinginganita, we have estimated the 80 Beyer received on 5/31 to be about right, which isn’t enough.

Asian Eyes – Has been running high 70’s to low 80’s Beyers, which can’t quite compete with Sayit.

Little Boss Chick – She is the ML favorite, but she is actually my second choice behind Sayit. GiftHorseRacing Speed Figures has determined the 86 received last out may be overstated by a few points. Sayit appears to be faster based on the numbers. Definitely second, but pass on the win.
