Race 5 Pick: Unvarnished. This one is kind midrange longshot pick, so don't unload your bankroll on this one. According to our GHR Speed Figures, this one has run faster than the rest of the field, especially on May 25, 2008 at Hollywood Park. The real question is form. He ran a decent race on October 10, 2008 at the 62,500 Claiming level. In his last he made a decent move but kind of flattened out at the top of the stretch, but he was coming off almost a 2 month layoff, so maybe he needed that one. And he has thrown in a clunker before and bounced back, so its possible at 6-1 ML. Grey Storm could very well finish in the money at 12-1. Sandita is the obvious choice to finish in the money. Tenfold is okay, but I really think the 7 1/2 Furlongs is a bit too long for him.
