Race 4 Pick: Rail Trip. Okay, this is the favorite, but I watched his first and last race, well, not his first and last race, but his first race which was also his last race...you know what I mean..anyway, he looks like the real deal. He is 7/5 on the ML, and I think he will go off less than that, maybe 4/5. But I think even 4/5 is a solid price. The positives in addition to his obvious ability are: Trainer Ron Ellis usually has them fit and ready to go, and secondly, he breaks from the 5 post in a 6 horse field, and third, he is the kind that springs out of the gate so there is no reason to think he shouldn't get a clear trip. Wouldn't bet a huge amount, but its worth a play I think.

Race 8 Pick (The Cash Call Futurity): Chocolate Candy. This pick isn't as likely as the Race 4 pick above, but then again the odds will be significantly better. Chocolate is 6-1 ML and I would say is one of the better shots to come in the MONEY. The interesting thing about him is he is a long striding, grinding type, those types sometimes progress as they get older. Azul Leon is interesting at the rail, would take a look at him too. There are a couple in here that are a bit hard to read because they are coming from the turf. For example, Bittle Road could step up and do it having raced only on turf but has been pretty impressive, but I would rather see them be proven routing on the synthetic first before I bet.
