Mint Julep Recipe

Mint Julep Recipe

Add the following to a Mint Julep Cup. You may also use a tall old fashioned glass, Collins glass, or highball glass.

• 5-10 fresh mint leaves
• 1 teaspoon of powdered sugar
• 2 teaspoons of water

Muddle the ingredients together by gently pressing leaves with a muddler so that the oils of the mint are released into the sugar water. Do NOT CRUSH the mint.

• Add 2-2 ½ oz. of Bourbon
• Top with crushed ice
• Add a mint sprig for decoration and sipping straw

This drink is essential for any Kentucky Derby Party
