Santa Anita Derby: The Pamplemousse / Mr. Hot Stuff straight exacta I think The Pamplemousse is clearly the one to beat. Despite all the hype that has surrounded Pioneerof the Nile, I have yet to be really impressed by him and his Beyer Speed Figures and GHR Speed Figures both are light compared to The Pamplemousse. Mr. Hot Stuff might even be better than Pioneerof the Nile. I do think Mr. Hot Stuff is an extremely talented horse and if he moves up just a bit, and The Pamplemousse regressed a touch he could make it close, but it may not be enough. The play is a straight exacta wiht The Pamplemousse on top, Mr. Hot Stuff underneath.
