Race 3 Pick: Kalookan Event: According to my GHR Speed Figures, the 1/11/09 performance is actually a length or two better than the ML favorite, Funny Me. It is true the connections of Funny Me are better, but if you can get close to 9/2 on Kalookan Event, it is worth it. Would recommend putting Funny Me underneath if you want to play an exacta. Regarding 7/2 ML C.T. Zee, note that Kalookan Event got alot closer to Nima's Pad on 1/11/09 than did C.T. Zee on 12/17/08.

Race 6 Pick: Call Aly: I am going to stand against the favorite Desperate (2-1 ML) and Thelma Rose (3-1 ML). I also like the 5/2 second choice Shelbydell. My GHR Speed Figures say she is a couple lengths better than Desparate and Thelma Rose. But those figs also show that Call Aly and even South of France have the numbers to compete. Since Call Aly beat South of France, I will give the nod to Call Aly. This is a GREAT race to use Cally Aly (12-1) and South of France (10-1 ML) in the top two spots, as I think at least one of them will outrun their odds.
