Race 3 Pick: Holladay Dixie.Based on her last two races, she has easily run the best numbers. She is coming off a 2 month layoff, but she has Carla Gaines in her corner and she can get them ready. Would consider No Guessing, Sally Says So, and even Classic Demand underneath in the exactas.

Race 3 Pick: NO PICK Just some thoughts, I think Make Mine Vodka will be overbet and don't like his 3-1 ML. Sure Thing Eva is 5-1 but I would stand against despite the A+ connections. There are some real nice prices that could come in the exotics such as Ferndale Sal (12-1), Si Chimi (15-1), and even Abaconian (20-1) if the trainer can have him ready. Of these three I prefer Si chimi the most due to the solid trainer Frank Monteleone, but their figures are better than people think. I do like Rogue Scholar and Brother Man for the win though.

Race 7 Pick: Emmy Darling She is 3-1 ML, and if she is close to that, I would take it. She has the connections and her 6/28/08 race would win this easily. It is quite possible we will see that sort of race today now that she gets away from routing on the grass.

Race 8 (Sunshine Millions Sprint) Pick: Georgie Boy I think he is a must use in the exotics. I think he's getting ready to round into form. His 2/10 San Vicente wins this race. I really like Carnacks Choice at 10-1 ML. Pletcher wouldn't bring him out here unless he thought he was well placed, and you might want to put him in the exotics, maybe even a win bet. Devoted Magic, Dancing in Silks for the exotics at a good price.

Race 9 (Sunshine Millions Distaff) Pick: Briecat If she can run to her last race, she is the best of the Southern California horses. Vladmir Cerin (trainer) is excellent especially in route races. I am not crazy about Jockey Jon Court and I hope he doesn't send her too fast and duel with Amazing, but Court has a tendency to get into duels. Still, if he can not go insane the first quarter, she has a good shot at 9/2. Don't go too fast Jon and you'll win!!

Race 10 Pick: Sir Bell At 10-1 ML, this horse is a steal. The only drawback is the trainer who is not a very high percentage trainer, but the horses last race is solid. Notice that it was 6 lengths back to the third place finisher on 1/1/09 at this level. Box with Throne of Power. Gold Star Status is interesting at 8-1 ML.
