Race 2 Pick: Win: Weevescent Not much separates this field so you might as well go with the value. I have every confidence that this horse can contend at the sprint distance, but given this level of competition, if you throw out the one bad race last out, he might be able to contend. He rallied and closed well on Cajun Corredor and Squire Trelawny at 6 furlongs on October 8, 2008, and those two are the likely favorites.

Push Send is an X factor, and could upset, but I will take a wait and see on that one. I don't particularly like Cajun Corredor's last race. He got an easy lead breaking from the 3 post, went to the lead on a very very easy 24 and 3 pace, and still Massive Attack closed ground on him a bit, who is 8-1 ML. I do kind of like Massive Attack as a price play as well to finish in the exotics. Going to stand against Craig's Storm and Squire Trelawny for the win, although they could certainly be close. Among Squire Trelawney and Craigs Storm, I prefer Squire Trelawney slightly.
