Race 2 Pick: Win: Soda Pop KidI'm not going to worry about his last over that downhill turf. It means nothing, as downhill turf vs. routing on Pro ride surface at Santa Anita Racetrack are as different as day and night. My GHR Speed Figures show that his October 31st and November 28th efforts are a bit stronger than Trevors Clever and Pistol Pete Afleet who are slightly more favored on the morning line. Jimmy Da Brick's numbers are also very good and would consider him as well.

Race 5 Pick: Win: Respect the Officer This horse is 12-1 on the morning line and this one just might be a gift. If she can duplicate the last effort, she can win. Also, she was off poorly last time out, so if she can break cleanly this time watch out. Definite in the money horse for the value.

Race 8 Pick: Win: Spot the Diplomat I was going to go with Wheaton Hall, but his form in his last two might indicate he is not himself anymore, so the class drop may be irrelevant. I will go wiht Spot the Diplomat as he has the solid trainer Jack Carava in his corner, and his numbers are at the top here. If the Wheaton Hall of early January 2009 were to show up, he would be my pick, but he may not be.
