Can You Still Get Super Bowl Tickets Face Value? Lightening does strike, but why not just enjoy the game on TV at a party?
Posted February 4, 2010 Courtesy Horseracegame.com It would be nice to get Super Bowl tickets face value at this late stage in the game. This is without question the premiere sporting event of the year in America and one of the most watched contests in all of the world, perhaps only the World Cup drawing a larger audience. But here in the United States of America, the Super Bowl still rules. Advertisers pay record amounts for the priviledge of a 30-second spots because networks know that over 100 million people in the States tune in. It is no wonder then that Super Bowl tickets face value are just about impossible to come by. Generally speaking, tickets to the big game cost around $500, and the NFL makes available about 1000 tickets to fans by way of an annual drawing. Fans that choose to enter, and then win, the random drawing are then given the opportunity to buy two of the prized tickets, which with tax will come to over $1100, and that's without airfare, rental car, or even a hotel room. Don't even get me started on food. With the chances of securing tickets to the game so totally remote, the best thing that you can do as a fan is to either stay home and have a Super Bowl party with your friends and family (assuming you have yourself a decent TV). So just grill some steaks and have a few beers, all the while getting the benefit of the television broadcast, which gives you the chance to see all of the plays from the best angles and, not to be underestimated, to see the instant replays of the close plays from nearly every angle imaginable. Also, if you're interested in this kind of thing, you can listen to the announcers, who sometimes (but not very often) provide the viewing audience with keen insight. If you fail in your endeavor to obtain the coveted Super Bowl tickets face value, yet still want to enjoy Super Bowl XLIV between the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints, then simply turn on the television, invite your buddies over, and save yourself at least $1100! Besides football is a game that is practically made for television.
